As our Payroll Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time. You’ll work autonomously, handle confidential information with integrity, and support both Finance and HR teams with essential payroll and roster functions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Preparing, processing and distributing fortnightly payroll with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Setting up new staff in the payroll system and maintaining employee records
  • Responding to payroll queries from managers, HR and staff
  • Supporting HR with data, reporting and compliance
  • Assisting with Master Roster maintenance and operational roster queries
  • Staying up to date with payroll legislation, Awards and taxation requirements
  • Assisting with accounts functions including accounts payable and bank reconciliations
  • Ensuring payroll processes are documented, current and compliant
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of payroll information
  • Contributing to a safe, respectful and psychologically healthy workplace

What You’ll Bring

    • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar payroll role
    • Strong understanding of Awards, taxation and payroll legislation
    • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team
    • Intermediate to advanced MS Word and Excel skills
    • Experience in Aged Care or Health payroll (highly regarded)
    • High level of discretion, integrity and professionalism
