Why this role matters:

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our growing Cyber Security team. Reporting to the Head of Cyber Security, you will play a key role in monitoring, investigating and responding to cyber security threats while helping strengthen the organisation's security posture across Microsoft 365, cloud, identity and network environments.

What you will be doing:

• Monitoring and responding to security alerts and incidents using Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender and Fortinet technologies.
• Supporting vulnerability management, threat detection and incident response activities
• Assisting with Microsoft 365 security, Entra ID, Intune and identity governance controls.
• Supporting compliance initiatives aligned with Essential Eight, ISO 27001, NIST CSF and privacy requirements.
• Working with internal teams and external security partners to drive remediation and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience in cyber security, security operations, IT security or infrastructure.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 security technologies.
• Strong understanding of incident response, SIEM, vulnerability management, identity and access management, and cyber risk.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Exposure to Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, Essential Eight or ISO 27001 will be highly regarded.
• Experience in aged care, healthcare or other regulated industries would be well regarded
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage across all levels of the organisation
• Valid right to Work in Australia
• Valid driver’s licence
• Current National Police check/ NDIS check (or willingness to obtain)

Qualifications

•   Relevant Cyber Security or Information Technology degree
• One or more of the following highly regarded:Security+, SC-200, SC-900, AZ-500,CISSP, CISM
